One Day Shopping Trip to Puerto de la Cruz
Goes directly to Puerto de la Cruz, the islands second most important city, arriving at about 11:00am. You can walk
through the town, go shopping, visit the Botanical Gardens or any other attractions that take your fancy. If you want,
you can spend some or all of your time at Lagos Martianez, a beautiful lido with pools, sun-bathing areas and restaurants
and bars. (You may still visit Loro Parque, even if you did not purchase the Loro Parque tour)
Full Day Island Tour visiting Vilaflor, Teide, Oratavia, Puerto de Cruz, Candelaria
Travels via Vilaflor, the highest municipality in Spain, to Mount Teide, the highest dormant volcano in Europe
(12,200 feet). You will pass through the spectacular lunar landscape inside the Caldera de Las CaŅadas, where
Star Wars, Planet of the Apes and The Ten Commandments were filmed. Continues north through the Oratava
Valley, stopping to see the excellent local hand-crafts at Casa Regina and visiting the House of Balconies.
Later we stop in Puerto de la Cruz for approximately 4 hours, for lunch, shopping and sightseeing, where there is usually
time to visit the Botanical Gardens or the world famous Loro Parque if you wish. We return home via Candelaria where
you can see the Guanche Kings and the famous Black Virgin Madonna statue, Patron Saint of the Canary Island.
1/2 Day Island Tour via Guia de Isora, Chio, Teide, Las CaŅadas, Vilaflor
Journey through the villages of Guia de Isora and Chio, climbing up through the lava fields to the National
Park at Las CaŅadas Del Teide (6,500 feet above sea level). Here you will enjoy the beautiful volcanic landscape, with its
many colours. Passing on to Mount Teide (12,200 feet) which is the highest point in Spain. Then returns to the South
via Vilaflor, the highest village in the Canaries. Take warmer clothing in case Las CaŅadas is cold - (its 12,000 feet high)
Gomera Island Tour. (by Ferry from Los Cristianos and includes lunch)
Gomera is a very beautiful island situated some 22 kilometres off the coast of Tenerife. Its principle features are its
beautiful scenery and spectacular views. Very often, whales and dolphins may be seen during the ferry crossings
between Tenerife and Gomera. The Ferry leaves Tenerife from the Los Cristianos harbour to sails for just over 1 hour,
to the port of San Sebastion, where Cgristopher Columbus once stopped before sailing to unknown lands. We disembark
at San Sebastian port and travel by coach via narrow roads to the islands highest mountain, Garajonay (over 4000 ft).
We pass by El Cedro, one of the oldest pine forests in Europe. Stops for lunch at the Casa Conchita Restaurant
where you can taste for some delicious home-made Canarian food. After lunch we travel on through the rocks and
valleys back toward San Sebastian where there is time to see the town, before returning to Tenerife.
Taxi Whales (1.5 Hours Sea Trip)
Description A superb sea trip for those who primarily want to see the whales rather than go on a cruise.
The 48 passenger purpose built boat leaves the Marina at Puerto Colon and immediately sets course to the area where
whales may be found. The trip lasts for approximately one and a half hours. It is a good idea to take a camera with you.
Day Tour - Masca, Garachico, Icod de los ViŅos
Travels north-west to Los Gigantes, continues through Santiago del Teide and on to Masca Valley, stopping for refreshments.
On to Garachico for lunch (not included in price). After 1 hour, continues to Icod de los ViŅos to see the famous Dragon Tree,
village and taste local wines. Returns to Playa Las Americas approx. 8pm.
1/2 Day Mount Teide Trip
Do not leave Tenerife without seeing Mount Teide. This trip goes via Chio and heads up to Las CaŅadas, the crater surface,
crowned by the extinct volcano, Mount Teide, standing at 3,718 meters high. Visits the National Park then return via Vilaflor
and Arona. Take sweater with you. Thurs. and Sun. approximately 08.30 - 13.30
